Oprah Winfrey

Many people know Oprah and her wonderful sense of intelligence. Most individuals recognize her from her television show that she casts daily. Some may or may not agree with the decisions that she makes, but she has made an impact to the world. I admire Oprah Winfrey because she is determined, well spoken, and very intelligent.

Oprah had a very difficult childhood, and because of that she was determined to better her life and the lives of others. She was sexually abused by male relatives who were related to her mother, Vernita. Eventually Oprah moved to Nashville, Tennessee to live with her father, and working in radio and television stations. Since Oprah had several years of experience broadcasting she started her own show called “People are talking”. That’s when Oprah started helping other individuals with their problems.

Some people might not understand why Oprah is an outspoken person. It's part of her personality and what makes her who she is today. Oprah is a brave individual because she follows her dreams and doesn’t give up. If fact she, raised over 51 million dollars in charitable funds, which included funding for education for girls in South America, and also the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Winfrey’s dream was to see the girls get a good education. Just because Oprah is one of the richest African Americans doesn’t mean she is selfish, she has done a lot for our country and others.

Oprah has a wide range of intelligence, which she is not afraid to use. She has accomplished a variety of projects to help other. Oprah has helped people overcome their fears and to stick with their dreams. Winfrey also stood up to President Bill Clinton and spoke her mind about how there is so much child abuse in society today. Both Clinton and Winfrey were in agreement about the terrible situation of child abuse. Her main reason why she wanted this law passed is because of how she was brought up in her younger childhood.

Nevertheless I think that Oprah had impacted several people. She determined to accomplish things to better others. Winfrey is an outspoken person which is what makes her today. Oprah has a great sense of intelligence, she is not afraid to stick with her priorities sin her life. I hope that others look up to her like I did, and keep their goals/ dreams they have to accomplish.
