Oprah Gale Winfrey is my hero. She has inspired me and millions of other people to live the life we want to. She has showed me that no matter what the circumstances are, if you set your mind to something, you can do it. Oprah has convinced me to never give up on anything and to try my hardest at anything I do. She has helped millions of people live out their dreams by the things she does and says to them to convince them to try their hardest.

Oprah as a child (http://www.oprahwinfreybiography.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Oprah-Winfreys-School-Photo1.jpg) |
Oprah did not grow up with the easiest childhood. She was abused by her own family. Her mother did not support her, due to the fact that she favored her half sister, Patricia, more than Oprah. Through out Oprah's childhood, she had dreamed of being on t.v. When she was lonely, she would watch t.v. and think about how that would be her one day. Many people think that all the years of abuse and loneliness made Oprah the strong and caring women she is today.
Oprah has done so many things, not only for herself, but for charities. She has donated millions of dollars to charities worldwide. She has even started 2 of her own charities, The Oprah Winfrey Foundation and The Oprah Winfrey Operating Foundation. When many people think of someone so helpful to charities, Oprah Winfrey is the first thing that comes to their mind, but Oprah doesn't just help charities. She spends a lot of her time volunteering.
Oprah Gale Winfrey is a strong, caring, and charitable women. She has done lots of things for the world and is asking for nothing in return. That is why she is my hero.
