OJ Mayo was born on November 5, 1987 in the great town of Huntington, West Virginia. At the age of 18 he was named Mr. Basketball of Ohio for the second consecutive season according to Wikipedia and my knowledge. He often has been seen in Sports Illustrated magazines.

OJ Mayo came to Huntington High in his senior year to to lead the 2006 Huntington High basketball team alongside Patrick Patterson who now plays for the Kentucky Wildcats as a center. Both OJ and Patrick occasionally visit their hometown Huntington.

OJ was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves and was immeadialey traded to the Memphis Grizzles. He averages 24 points per game leading the team and almost I believe he has clinched the "Rookie of the Year" award. OJ is still growing and will continue to practice every day to become better and better. He lives in Memphis living with Jamaal Williams who played for Huntington High as well. I think Memphis has served him well and he is enjoying it there. He can potentially be one of the best players once he grows more and has more experience in the NBA.
