Paula Esselburn- My Hero
Paula Esselburn- My Hero

My hero may not seem like an everyday crime fighting super hero, but she means the world to me. My hero shows love and compassion just in her everyday acts. She is funny and she always tries to make the best of things. My hero is trustworthy and honest. She gives great advice and would do anything for anyone, but there is one very special thing that makes her my hero. My hero is everything I want to be to my kids as a mother. Which is why my mom, Paula L. Esselburn is my hero.

Paula Esselburn was born in Ohio. Her parents, Lewis and Jean Copenhaver, raised her in a house in Coshocton along with her two sisters and her one brother. Paula Esselburn graduated a year early at the top of her class from Coshocton High school. She then went on to attend college at Mount Veron Nazarene University. Soon after she met my dad, David Esselburn, and they got married. Several years later they had three kids, Lauren, Megan, and D.J.

My hero has had many hardships throughout her life that have made her one of the strongest and the most independent women I know. She had a rough childhood as she was growing up. Even after that she had dealt with numerous problems dealing with her family, friends, and her relationships with people. But no matter what the problem or situation was she made it through. Going through all the many obstacles that she had to overcome, it has given my mom the life lessons and experience to help my siblings and I make the right decisions throughout our own lives.

Paula Esselburn is my hero because she is the greatest mother I could have ever asked for. She would protect her children in any situation and provide for them the best she could. One of my mom’s greatest joys is being a mother. She always puts people before herself, especially when it comes to her kids. My mom makes me feel like I could go to her for anything. But what makes my mom my hero the most is that she is everything I want to be as a mother to my own children.

My hero is not everyone’s average hero. The little things my hero does for me everyday make her not only a great mother, but my role model. She works very hard to be everything she can be for me and my family. I know no matter what she will always be there for me. She is my mother, my guardian, but most of all my hero.
