The definition of caring is to take care of others. Kindness, caring, and determination are traits that heroes should have. A hero isn't always a celebrity and a hero doesn't have to have super-powers. A hero can be many things; a hero can even be your neighbor! A hero would be someone who inspires you. That's what a hero should be.

My hero is someone very close and special to me. My hero is my grandma and her name is Parvin Zamani Farahani. The reason she is my hero is because she is kind, caring, and determined. She was born in Tehran, Iran. In her life she worked hard and never even thought of giving up. Reasons that my grandma is kind and caring are that she never thinks of herself, she only thinks of others. Growing up in Iran was difficult for her. She rarely got a moment for herself. She helped her parents raise her younger brothers and sisters and she never gave up doing it till this day! Some of her hobbies are cooking and her favorite book to read is 101 Magical Herbs.

My grandma has a huge family! She has 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Her father passed away 8 years ago, in 2003. Her mother passed away 23 years ago, in 1988. My grandma previously had jobs as a teacher, a knitter, and a tailor. She worked for more than 50 years! She had barely been married for ten years when her husband passed away. My grandma gave birth to 2 children; a boy and a girl. (The girl is my mom.) My grandma's brothers and sisters also helped her with some of her work. She currently lives at the Granada Hills Village apartment. My grandma is 65 this year. She doesn't know how to speak English.

My grandma is great! She inspires me to be a lot like her. My grandma is kind and caring to a lot of people. I like how she is determined to accomplish all of her goals. There was never a time when she didn't care for me or my brother. My grandma is important to me because she is one of my favorite family members!

My grandma is a hero. She is kind, caring, and determined. She is my hero and she is a family hero. She took care of almost every family member and every member loves her for that. Parvin Zamani Farahani is one of my many favorite heroes. A lot of people have many different heroes, but this one is mine, and that's what makes it special.
