When it comes to the word "Hero" some people might think about Spiderman, Superman, Batman, and all those make believe heroes, but for me I would say that my real life hero is my dad. My Dad's name is Peter Sitan. He is the most special person in my life. He is a very good politician and businessman. My dad is a loving and caring father; he raised me up under his wealth. When I was a child he gave me everything I wanted and everything I needed. He always had business trips and always travels a lot, and sometimes he took me with him on his trips.
In an interview by Bill Moyer, Campbell defined physical deed of a hero, "in which a hero performs a courageous act in battle or saves a life". In the summer of 2001 July 8, My Dad drove an 18ft fiberglass boat with a forty horsepower engine from the Mortlocks to Pohnpei. He did perform a courageous act in the ocean by being able to face all those huge waves.
Some says that a leader is also a good characteristic of a hero. My Dad previously served as a Senator in the congress of the FSM and was the chairman of the committee on judiciary and Governmental operations. While in congress he was the first senator to increase the salary of all national employees. He also likes to help people, he used to tell me a saying that a man should have a long arm, and that long arm is for helping.
My Dad is my guidance, helper, and my real life hero. I am thankful to God for giving me a loving and caring Dad he gave. My Dad was my hero and is my hero and always will be my hero
