My unsung hero is Percy Spencer, the inventor of the microwave oven, because I love my microwave, he was also a US Navy veteran, and he accidentally invented these items, which I find very interesting. Let's dig deeper into these things and see what I mean.
My first reason that I'd like to share with you is that he invented the microwave. Who doesn't love their microwave, easy simple and fast, and now in a small size? That's right the microwave used to be a huge, expensive, metal box, that couldn't fit on your countertop. Now it is small and compact and almost everyone has one, thanks to Percy Spencer!
My next reason for Percy Spencer being my hero is that he was in the US Navy, so he served our country before he made his wonderful invention. That makes me like him even more. Wouldn't you want to have that too? I find it great, serving our country in two ways, the Navy, and the microwave.
My third and final reason that I like Percy Spencer is that he invented the microwave by accident, and I like that. He actually was standing in front of an active radar set and had noticed that the candy bar in his pocket had melted. Then he tried putting a metal box by the heat and put an egg in it. As one of his helpers looked in to observe, the egg exploded, I'm glad that doesn't happen to us!
As you can see from above, my unsung hero is Percy Spencer because he invented the microwave and the oven, he was in the US Navy, and he invented the microwave by accident, so now that you know about the person who invented it, why don't you go and use your microwave, with the happiness that you read my essay.
