Good day! I am Preston and I am here to tell you about my hero, Paul, who is also my dad.
My hero is loyal, determined, faithful, humble, and dependable. To me, a hero sees a big or small need and helps.
At one point in time, I didn’t know how to play baseball. I had watched it on TV, seen people playing it, but I had never tried playing it myself.
Pretty soon, it was baseball season, and I wanted to play. My dad decided to coach, and started practicing with me. The more we practiced together, the better I became. Now I know how to play! That is how he became my hero.
So thank you, dad, for helping me and encouraging me. I hope I can help someone one day and I will become their hero just like you.

Our Hero Celebration came to be by us reading heroes in the Bible, in stories, and black history month. We brainstormed ideas of a hero, looked it up and found a different thing then we thought of.
We all did speeches, drew portraits, did presentations, and sang a song. The song we sang was Wind Beneath My Wings.
In the show, I started out nervous but after my speech, I felt better. After my PowerPoint presentation I felt good about myself and was happy.
I think that the Hero Celebration was really good today. I think that the heroes felt good and thought it went well, too. I would recommend for another class to do it because it was fun.
