Pele is the best soccer player of all time. He was born on October 23, 1940 in Tres Coracoes Brazil. His real name is Edson Arantes Do Nascimento. Pele was baptized in the municipal church called Igreja De Sagrada Familia. His mother's name is Celeste and his father's name is Dondinho. Pele started kicking a soccer ball when he was just 4 years old!!! Pele is still alive.

Pele loved soccer. It was his hobby. He was extremely good at soccer. In 1956 he joined the a soccer team called Santos. He was 15 when he joined the team. Then he joined the New York Cosmos in 1975.

Pele is famous for his really good dribbling, perfect passing and accurate shooting. He scored 1,281 goals in 1,363 games. That's amazing!! Pele is the only person in the world to score 1,000 goals in a career.

I like Pele because he is very good at soccer. He inspires me to become a better soccer player. I want to be a great player like Pele.
