Picasso Blue

Picasso was one of four Artists that really inspired me to try new things! I was also attracted by his eyes whenever I saw a photo of him. His stare was always intense. This painting has been created in watercolour pencils and acrylic paints. It represents Picasso's stare and his blue period of painting. Half a face increases the power of the stare and hopefully the interest in the picture. It also shows that art was only a part of his very colourful life! I cannot remember the exact words he used but remember reading that he said something like this!
When I was a child I painted like a man and when I became a man I spent my time trying to paint like a child!
