Ko Pimia raua ko Ngapo Wehi tenei.!! |
Ko Pimia Wehi toku rangatira. No Rongowhakaataa me Te Whakatohea. Kei Tamaki ia e noho ana i tenei wa. Ko raua me tona hoa Rangatira a Ngapo Wehi nga pouako o te roopu Kapa Haka o Te Waka Huia. I tipu mai ia ki te Tairawhiti. He maha ona pukenga mo te Kapa Haka. Ko ia tetahi tangata he ngawari te korero ki tona roopu me nga tangata katoa hoki.
Pimia Wehi is my one of my many heroes. She is from Rongowhakaataa and Te Whakatohea. She is living in Auckland. She along with her husband Ngapo Wehi are the tutors for Aucklands Kapa Haka group Te Waka Haka. According to her group she is an easy person to talk to when in the process of Kapa Haka practice. Also according to her group they say she is an expert of her domain which is Kapa Haka. They also say that she is a hero of the wider world as well.

Ko Pimia tenei e arahina i tona Tira!! |
I tipu mai ia ki roto i nga mohiotanga a ona tupuna mo te Kapa Haka. I ako ia i nga whatikitanga me nga pukenga o te ao Kapa Haka.
She grew up in the knowledge of Kapa Haka from her ancestors. She gained skills and knowledge of the world of Kapa Haka. Later on her family moved to Auckland city where she spent most of her teenage years. Later on from that came the inspiration to start a Kapa Haka group called Te Waka Huia. It was her and her husband Ngapo Wehi that started the group.
From all my research that i have gathered about Pimia explains that she enjoys Kapa Haka and Te Reo Maori so very much. Leading on from the success of Te Waka Huia came the idea of the singing sensation group of Pounamu. Most of the songs that are sung by Pounamu are remakes of old songs of Te Waka Huia and some new as well. Pimia and Ngapo are the owners and C.E.O's of Pounamu.
Ko Pimia Wehi toku tino Rangatira. Pimia Wehi is my HERO!
