Plato's philosophies and solutions have made the world what it is today. Plato was a philosopher and mathematician in Classical Greece. Plato is my hero because he was wise, fearless, and a leader. Wisdom is crucial in order to make smart decisions and analyze a situation. Fearlessness is important in order to pursue one's passion without wavering because of what other people say. Being a leader is essential because being able to convey your message and educate people of one's ideas is crucial. The ability to be fearless is lacking an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. Plato is extremely fearless because he asked questions that were not common and he wasn't afraid to express his ideas. Plato believed that Myths or a preconception of a perfect world were evident in a person's character. People disagreed with his ideas and believed he was wrong, but he continued to believe in his idea and kept challenging them. Due to the fact that he kept asking questions and challenging his  ideas, he was able to come up with ideas of what that perfect world might look like. He then tried to test his ideas even with the ridicule people gave him. Plato was fearless and wasn't dissuaded by what other people had to say. Wisdom is having the power of discerning and judging properly as to what is true or right; possessing discernment, judgment, or discretion. Plato could analyze the world and comprehend what the rights and wrongs were. He took his skill of analysis and judgement to the next level by using what he determined as right and wrong, this created a world that he believed was perfect. Plato then wrote about a Republic. A Republic is a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and which has an elected or nominated president rather than a monarch. Plato showed his wisdom and went beyond just being wise. A leader is someone who shows the way to his followers. Plato was the founder of Academy, the first academic institution in the western world. He led all his students and showed them what his beliefs were and showed them how to constantly ask questions. Plato taught Aristotle these lessons and Aristotle became a great philosopher because of it. Plato carried on his legacy through Aristotle and made sure that his teachings lived on through him. Aristotle rejected Plato's ideas but he used what Plato taught him to come up with new guidelines. Plato was able to lead his apprentice and give his apprentice the tools to invent new guidelines.Plato was wise because he was able to analyze the problem and take his analysis and come up with a solution and example of this is The Republic. He was fearless because when he published his ideas people ridiculed him but he overcame the ridicule and continued pursuing whatever he wanted. Plato was a leader because he carried his legacy through his apprentice and his students by showing them the way. Plato is my hero because he was wise, fearless, and a leader.
