Scott and Joanne Poston

They’re not firefighters, police, or even a pilot on plane, they’re simply my role models in life and that makes them my heroes. My parents have always been great role models for me throughout my life, through thick and thin, good and bad, and ups and downs. They are always open to anything when I need them.

My mother, Joanne Poston, is my hero because her strength carried throughout her day. She always tries to stay positive and keep her head up, even though something could be going wrong. She always tells me “there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, you just have to keep going.” I always think of that when I am going through something hard. Like for an example, this past summer I found out that I failed geometry, well I was pretty devastated, and of course she was there for me when I need encouragement to get through the summer school work. She kept telling me to work hard because the ending result was going to pay off. So as she told me I kept working and ended up with a high B as the result. All I needed was a little push from my mother to get through and do well. She is a great woman and she is very cherished in my life.

My daddy, Scott Poston, is my hero because he is a great man is every way. He is a hardworking father and husband to our family. He is always very determined to get something done on time and done right. He loves to give out advice and help in any way he can. He is always making sure that I have everything I need, and he seems to always know when something is wrong. He likes to lighten up a bad mood with a corny joke or saying something really “stupid.” He is a great man and I appreciate everything and anything he does for me. For example, when I was in the 9th grade, I played basketball, and my dad was a high school basketball player. I wasn't very skilled in basketball so, knowing my dad's past, I asked him for help. He helped me every day until I was good enough as every other player out there. He always makes sure that his children are the best, and that they have everything they need. He is a true inspiration to me and in my life. I love him

In conclusion, my parents are the best heroes because they really care about me. They are always there and I really cherish them everyday I’m with them! I wouldn't ever trade them for the world. They will always be there with me every step of the way in my life. I love my parents with all my heart.
