Have you ever wanted a hero? Someone who is funny, smart, lovable and is a great person? Well, you've come to the right place! My hero is Robert James Finley, everyone calls him R.J.! He was born on March 11th and he is currently 14 years old. He has 3 brothers; Mat(5, his Mom & Rick's kid), Jackson(3, his Dad & Kim's kid) & Evan(1, Jackson's brother). R.J. is in grade 9 and is presently attending Adam Scott C.V.I. & Intermediate School.

I chose R.J. to be my hero because he is a very caring and kind person. I can always go to him for advice, emotional support and a shoulder to cry on. To show an example of these 3 characteristics of my hero I will explain a brief situation of each.

Advice

I tell R.J. everything! From me and my best friends getting into a fight to my parents driving me crazy to what colour my tissue box is! I know:

1. I can trust that he won`t tell anyone.

2. If it`s a problem I need help with, he`ll give me amazing advice.

The time my best friend Tanner and I got into this HUGE fight I told R.J. and he told me just to try and make friends with other people until the steam blows over; then, try to talk to her about it. It worked! Tanner and I were the best friends we had once been within the week! He`s like a personal counselor! It`s great to know I have someone to talk to like that.

A Crying Shoulder

As you already know, I tell him everything like I stated in the last paragraph above. When I talk to him the problem can be bad or hurtful or make me depressed, upset or even makes me cry but he is always there to listen. I love telling him because not only will he keep it a secret and give me advice to fix it he will also tell me that everything will be alright and that he`s there for me. Like one of the times my Daddy dropped me off at R.J.`s I had gone into his house in tears because my Dad and I had an argument that had upset me a lot. We sat together on the couch and he held me and we talked about it and he told me that everything would be fine and not to worry because things would work out! Now, my Dad and I are fine! It`s great that R.J.'s like that; oh, and if I'm crying when we're together, I get a hug! :D

Emotional Support

R.J. is always giving me emotional support. Whether it`s boosting my confidence or telling me that I can do anything he seems to know just what to say. He is constantly saying positive things to me like "You're beautiful" or when we`re playing video games he tells me "You're great!" or he just generally encourages me to keep going. I feel lucky that he does that, giving me confidence in myself because ("being a teenage girl") I don`t have a lot of confidence or at least, not very much. Fortunately, ever since I`ve been dating him I have gotten more confident and more determined in what I do.

R.J. is more than just a boyfriend to me; he`s a best friend as well. He`s everything good wrapped up into one package!:D He`s a fantastic, terrific guy and I wouldn't trade him for the world! I honestly, truly love him with all of my heart!
