It is DeSean Jackson with the catch; he is at the twenty, the ten and bang! it is Ray Lewis with the tackle! Ray Lewis is a ex-NFL football player who played middle linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens, and he attended the University of Maryland. There is one more thing that Ray Lewis is and that is my hero. Ray Lewis is my hero because of all the charity work he does, his incentives to do it, and finally his views on humanity.
First, Ray Lewis did a lot of charity works like USAID. He gave to that company by donating a large sum of money to invest in agriculture and help families who do not have enough money to afford a house or food. Another thing that Ray Lewis did was that he climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro (tallest mountain in Africa) to get clean water for the children and families of Africa.
Next, Ray Lewis had not done all these good deeds for no reason. One of the reasons that he did all this is because of self experience. When Ray Lewis was born he had not been in a happy community. Due to his horrid self experiences he cannot even stand the sight of anybody who suffers from anything somewhat similar to what he had. Ray Lewis did not help others just because of self experience, he also had helped with disaster relief, improved the ratio of healthy people to unhealthy people.
Finally, Ray Lewis's views on humanity is another thing that makes him my hero. His views are demonstrated in his quotes, such as ones like "Bottom line, everyone's body is a temple and you have to treat it that way." The main idea of this quote is that people are like a temple: they will soon crumble unless we treat them with respect and help the temples (people) before they wither away and die. "With all the things that I have been through, the number one thing that I've learned is that we are supposed to help people through this world." Through self experience and discipline Ray Lewis has learned what he is supposed to do in this life. His belief is that this world was created to help other people, friend or foe.
Although Ray Lewis used to contribute to his football team, he can still help out in the outside world. Due to all his charity work, his incentives to do it, and his views on human nature Ray Lewis is my hero.
