In my life, I have met many heroes, but one person who stands out to me is my dad. My dad is my hero because he has always looked out for me and kept me safe. Even when I was switching from a school I had been in for 6 years to a new school, he made the transition easier by encouraging me. My dad breaks up the occasional fights between my brother and I and helps me with math homework. My dad lives with my mom, brother, and I on a farm outside of Milton. Our family loves to take walks together in the woods behind our house, and my dad always points out the plant life and types of trees.
Along with helping out around the house on Wednesday and Sunday (dad's days off), my dad also works at a furniture store. He has worked there for about 25 years, starting out by helping with furniture deliveries, and moving up to head manager. He is a hero for the company because he is always willing to help out, or solve a problem, or anything else that pops up needing to be done.
My dad has always helped me chase my dreams. He helped me make my horse barn and encouraged me to save my money until i finally had enough to buy my 1st horse, a retired showhorse named Leap Lindy Sue. Dad helped me start a flock of 15 chickens, and i built the flock up to 35 and sell the eggs to pay for horse feed.
I love my dad and respect him for all he's done and all he will do to make my life a good one.
