Rosa Parks is my hero because she has changed the environment for the black community. She made blacks feel more wanted on the buses, and now today blacks can sit wherever they want on the bus.

LIFESTYLE:
"Rosa Parks was born on February 4,1913 Tuskegee, Alabama. She grew up on a farm with her grandparents, mother, and younger brother Sylvester. She was homeschooled by her mother until she was eleven, then started at the Industrial School for Girls in Montgomery where she took academic courses for secondary education but was forced to drop out of school to take care of her grandmother, and later for her mother, after they became ill."

WHAT HAS ROSA PARKS DONE?
Rosa Parks stood up against all white people. At the time blacks had to sit at the back of the bus and had to enter in the back of the bus because of their colour. So one day Rosa Parks, an African American, was tired of it she sat at the front of the bus and refused to get up from where she was sitting. This is what happened that day, a lady told Rosa Parks to get up and move to the back of the bus and Rosa Parks refused.

So then the white women called the bus driver and the bus driver came over to her and told her to move, she replied no then the bus driver called the police then took her to jail just because she wouldn’t move to the back of the bus.

THE MEMORY:
After Rosa Park’s incident on the bus she had help from Martin Luther King Jr. He was a brave and strong man that also stood up for his rights. And together they had fought segregregation. After all of her hard work, Rosa Parks worked hard to make sure that blacks and white would be treated equally, and that there would be no more hatred and no more fighting. But people all over the world still admire and remember what Rosa Parks has done for the blacks today. I really do appreciate what she did for the community because now blacks can sit wherever they want on the bus.

She passed away at the age of 92, on Tuesday October 25, 2005.
