In honor of Rosa Parks, I did this research about this hero in “Biography Today.” I chose Rosa Parks because of the Civil Rights Movement. After the research, I was glad I did because I learned so much about her.

Who knew such a normal beginning would give the world such a hero? Rosa was born in Tuskegee, Alabama on February 4, 1913. Her parents were James McCauley and Leona McCauley.

Rosa’s mother wanted a good education for her. So Leona saved up some money to send Rosa to school and college. Rosa attended a couple of different schools. One of the schools was Montgomery Industrial School and another school was a school run by the Alabama State Teachers College.

Hard work contributes to heroism. Rosa’s career highlight was the Civil Rights Movement. I thought this because of what she did for all the African American people and friends in this world.

Rosa is important to mankind and changed the world. She was very strong and brave at that time not to give up her seat to that mean and disheartening white man. Rosa is important to history because she was the one who began Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream that one day, African Americans and Caucasians could go to the same school, and do the same things, abolishing segregation worldwide. She is a true hero to all African American people, and all of those who were against segregation.
