Rosa Parks was an amazing person. Rosa Parks proved to people that African American people should not be treated differently because of the color of their skin. Rosa Parks was the only person to have the courage to stand up for them and herself. She was born on February 4, 1913 and passed away on October 24, 2005. To this day
Rosa Parks has a positive outlook on all good people. Rosa Parks states, "All the time I was arrested, I had no idea it would turn into this. It was just a day like any other day. The only thing that made it significant was that the masses of the people joined in." During the Montgomery bus boycott Rosa Parks was told to move just because a white person came on the bus and wanted her seat. Rosa Parks was told to move just because of the color of her skin. It was not fair what James Blake, the bus driver, forced Rosa Parks to do. Unlike other African Americans, Rosa Parks stood up to James and fought for her dignity and respect. Rosa Parks was the only person that ever stood up against a white person. Even though she got arrested she still fought for what she believed in and that, in my opinion, was the best thing anyone could have ever done. The Montgomery bus boycott became an important symbol of civil rights movement that day. Rosa Parks showed true bravery during this act of kindness, and now and forever she will live in fame. Therefore she is my hero.
Rosa Parks is not only a hero but she is an inspiration. Rosa Parks shows the heroic characteristic of selflessness. Rosa Parks could have stood back behind the scenes and not said anything, like the other African Americans, but instead she spoke her mind. She talked back to all of the people that disrespected her, knowing that she would go to jail for it. She knew all of her rights and wanted to make sure that they were obeyed and followed, unlike the others. Rosa Parks knew that all of those wrong acts of kindness had to be changed. Rosa Parks was an older person. Yet she acted as if she were the youngest. Some say that Rosa Parks only stood up for the other people because she had a lot more knowledge and that she did not are if she went to jail, but that is completely false. Rosa Parks knew that she was going to go to jail, and of course she did not want to; she knew that others would look down on her. But the real argument was that she wanted to end all of the unfair treatment. "I would like to be remembered as a person who wanted to be free...so other people would also be free" by Rosa Parks. She wanted all people to be equal. She was a good person. Rosa Parks is my hero.
Rosa Parks was not only a selfless and brave person, but she was also a courageous person. Rosa Parks showed the heroic characteristic of courage by just being herself. Rosa Parks was always trying to help people and make them equal. Some African Americans were mean to Americans because they knew that they have been treated badly by them, but not Rosa Parks. Even though Rosa Parks did not especially agree with how many white Americans acted towards her and others she still wanted to "kill them with kindness." Being nice to people that are not nice to you takes a lot of courage. Rosa Parks said, "each person must live their life as a model for others." That is exactly how Rosa Parks lived her life. She never got down when a white American treated her bad. Instead she set an example/ model for them. Rosa Parks was an amazing lady and set many models of how people should live their life.
Rosa Parks shows many aspects of daily life routines to live by. She also sets the stage for how people should treat others. Rosa Parks proved to people that they should not treat others by the color of their skin. Rosa Parks shows true heroic characteristics. Rosa Parks shows bravery, selflessness and courageousness. Rosa Parks is a true hero. Rosa Parks is my hero.
