My hero is my grandmother called Rachel but we call her “Coco”. She is very cheerful and makes you happy with just watching her. She is very perseverant, courageous, and very adventurous. Her moral is always high.
My grandmother is my hero because she always makes me happy and she seems to be fifteen because she is a very proud and active person. She is always there for me. She is most of the time on trips. For some people my hero doesn’t mean so much because she didn’t go to war or anything of the sort, but she gave my family love and that means a lot to me. My hero lives in Argentina but she travels around the world with my grandfather who is another brave person. She went to any country or place you can think of. She is special for me because every time I am with her, it is a very special moment because I always enjoy it and if it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t be here. She is special for me because of thousands of things that can’t be expressed in any way.
She makes a difference in my life because when I go on trips with her she shows that being older doesn’t mean you have to be negative or sad. You have to make good use of your life. That reminds me of an adventure we once had when we went to explore the Gorriti Island (Uruguay) and we had to pass through some slippery rocks and she looked very confident and young but not because of her face or body but of her confidence. She is great. She is always trying to look at the bright side of things or moments and make you happy. I can relate my hero with Bahadur Serchan a 77 year old man who climbed the Everest, in relationship with my grandmother who is very adventurous.
To sum up, I am very happy with my grandmother because she is one of the few older people that knows that to be old doesn’t mean you are not able to do anything, although you can’t do all the things you did when young but you can always learn new things or keep on doing the things you did when you were young. I love her.
