I chose Rai because he's former footballer who he fought against poverty and unfairness. Rai was born in 1965 on a favela in Brazil, he played on PSG team from 1993 to 1998 and he won a World Cup with a Brazil in 1994. He was elected best player of the century in PSG team, he was an incredible player. Rai is generous and stubborn.

Rai created an association «Gol de letra» to help children of favelas on Sao Paulo in Brazil. Gol de letra is an association created in 1998 by Rai and Leonardo two Brazilian players of PSG team. This association help out Brazilian children and teenagers, there are cultural, school and sports activities. For Rai the greatest unfairness «It's not a difference of wealth but a difference of opportunities» I agree with this sentence.

Approximately there are 240 children each day in the center, it's better than to dawdle on the street. In Brazil the children go at school a half day and the second half they are free. The 20.000 population of Vila Albertina live below the poverty line. Predictably enough for participation at the association it is necessary to be registered at school.

When the children see Rai they are crazy because they enjoy meeting a celebrity. If they admire the football player they like also a creator of Gol de letra. Finally in 2001 Gol de letra was registered on UNESCO.
