My hero is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, also known by her stage name Rihanna. Rihanna was born February 20, 1988 in St. Michael, Barbados. Rihanna's mom worked as an accountant and Rihanna's father worked as a warehouse supervisor. Rihanna lived with her 4 siblings. She had a rocky relationship with her father because of his addiction to crack cocaine. The day the relationship with Rihanna's father and mother ended was when she was only 14.

The reason why Rihanna is in the music business is that she is following her destiny and being influenced by her idols. Some of her idols are Mariah Carey, Beyonce Knowles, Bob Marley, Alicia Keys, Fef Dobson (Former Def Jam artist and a good friend of hers). She idolizes these people because they gave her a headstart when she was little.

Rihanna's career headed off when her friends introduced her to a man named Evan Rogers who is a record producer. She then signed a contract with Def Jam Records. She then started working on her first Album, "Music Of The Sun" with the help of Evan Rogers and other people which has the song "Pon De Replay". Rihanna didn't think it was going to be a big shot to her career. Well, she gave it a try and released it on August of 2005. When it had came out it was 2nd on the Billboard Hot 100!

Rihanna is also know for creating a foundation called "Believe Foundation" to help sick children. She created it because when she was little she had watched T.V and saw the sick children on T.V she said that she wanted to help these children when she grows up. Rihanna is also know for her help and support against AIDS.

Rihanna is my hero because of how she dresses and how she influences me to help people in situations like when they're sick or have something like AIDS. Another way she influences me is by the lyrics in her songs. She also influenced me because of how her childhood was; her father was on drugs and she was bullied because she was lighter skinned than the other students in her class.
