Anna Eleanor Roosevelt was born on October 11th, 1884 and passed away on November 7th, 1962. This women influenced the country by being one of the most "outspoken" First Ladies of the United States. She had active participation in American politics for the majority of her life. She was also a humanitarian and a newsletter writer for a politically active newspaper column. Her nicknames included "Ellie" and "Little Nell".

She made a major contribution through the drafting and adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, from 1948. The influence she had to get involved came from the French headmistress, Marie Souvestre. This was when she enrolled at Allenswood at age 15, which is a girls' boarding school outside London.

In 1905, she married her distant cousin, Franklin D. Roosevelt, who would later become president of the United States. They would have 6 children: Anna, James, Franklin (died as an infant), Elliott, Franklin Jr., and John. Her husband died on April 12th, 1945.

Her way of thinking differed from the current school of thought through being a humanitarian and being one of the world's most admired and powerful women in the United States. She participated in the Daughters of the American Revolution, but resigned in 1939 when they refused to let an African American opera singer (Marian Anderson) join. She didn't really invent anything personally, but according to her biography page on Britannica, she "played a major role in the drafting and adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948)." She did however draft the UN Bill on Human Rights, according to Biography.com.

Eleanor died of aplastic anemia, tuberculosis, and heart failure. She was buried at her family estate in Hyde Park. Her legacy has carried on to this day as one of the most outspoken First Ladies to live in the White House.

Michelle Obama (Michelle LaVaughn Robinson) was born on January 17th, 1964. She is still living to this day is the first ever African-American First Lady of the United States. She influenced the country by being exactly that, the first ever African-American U.S. First Lady. Her way of thinking was different from the current school of thought through how she studied Sociology and African American studies at Princeton University, before attending Harvard Law School, and then took a job as a junior associated at what is now Sidley Austin LLP. She participated in supporting military families and ending childhood obesity.

She didn't really invent anything, except maybe the support of some new laws that are now in place, especially the ones that are supposed to end childhood obesity. She started the "Let's Move" initiative to solve childhood obesity and the "Joining Forces" initiative to promote support of military families. She was a major contribution towards the new laws that are toward supporting military families and ending childhood obesity, as well as planting a vegetable garden on the South Lawn of the White House in 2009.

Her influence came from most likely her mother and father as they were towards improving the way of life, including them being a homemaker and a worker in the city's water-purification plant.

What I would do to further spread their message is to build off of these issues and make something like a website. This website would include the information on how Michelle Obama fought childhood obesity and support Military families, as well as how Eleanor Roosevelt was a major contribution towards the drafting and adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

To spread their awareness, I would do the following: acquire a domain and a host to activate and begin development on the website, set up the CMS (Content Management System) to handle the future content, design a page for each person, provide information on the people that will be a part of the website, develop sub-pages for what each of the people did that was large, provide information for what they did to their society, make sure it has good SEO (Search Engine Optimization) so it could get more webpage views, and finalize the look and feel of the design, as well as not have any typos to look at.

These two women were very important to their society because of how they wanted to improve their society in ways that were (at the time) not being recognized. The problems with military families and obesity during childhood were growing at a significant rate, so it seemed like a good idea for Michelle Obama to lay down an initiative and ways to improve upon this. For Eleanor Roosevelt, she wanted women to have the same rights as men, and generally wanted all humans to have equal rights. What's similar to them especially is the fact that they were both First Ladies of the United States of America.
