Roy Lewis

Roy Lewis is my Grandfather, but he is also my hero because he’s strong when things get tough. He is courageous when things bad happen. He is also very caring - he’s always putting other's needs first.

Roy is courageous because when we were told he wasn’t going to make it to Christmas 2004, he did not give up. He made sure that if he was to go, he was going to go fighting. He’s also courageous because they told us he wasn’t going to make it to my birthday. He made sure he was around on my birthday and also my birthday after that.

Roy Lewis is also very strong. When he was laying in the hospital with our whole family around him, he was the strongest out of all of us. He was always telling us everything was going to be all right.

Roy is also very caring. He makes sure everyone is all right and makes sure that if someone’s hurt they get the help they need. He’s always putting others before himself. Sometimes to make people feel better he sings and it usually helps.

Roy Lewis is great; He’s so strong, when things get hard. He is so courageous when things turn out for the worst. He’s caring, making sure others' needs are taken care of. Roy Lewis is the most encouraging man in my life. He’s my grandfather but also my hero.
