Shawn Abbott

I chose my dad, Shawn Abbott, for this project not only because he is my dad, but also because of many of the great and amazing things he has done. He currently works as a private investor at Inovia Capital.

In a more personal aspect, outside his company he enjoys flying in his helicopter, biking, spending time with his kids, and skiing. He was born in Edmonton and he started working in the tech industry in grade 11. He went to the University of Alberta to learn astrophysics.

The IKEY, a device my dad invented (i scanned the box of an IKEY (Me))

As an entrepreneur at Inovia Capital he has done many amazing feats. He currently holds a patent for the IKEY, One of the first USB keys and the first secure one. He is currently investing in many companies with many neat prospects to each of them. Some examples of companies are Top Hat Monocle, Tynt, CoolIT systems, SiXtron, and Peraso. As CEO at Inovia he enjoys investing in mostly Tech companies.
