A hero is someone who is always there for you, someone who supports you through the ups and downs of life. A hero is a person who can cheer you up by walking in the same room. Those are the reasons why my mom is my hero. Her main qualities are moral direction and perseverance.

My mom's story began when she was born in New Delhi, India. She was named Sandeep Khalon. She went to school at Holy Child School.

My mom met my dad at a mutual friends house. When I was born my mom could have come to America but she stayed with me because I had Jaundice. I had to be kept under a light to increase my blood bilirubin level. When my mom finally came to America, she went to college and managed the house with two crazy out of control kids, all at the same time.

In the book The Hero's Trail by T. A. Barron, Mr. Barron lists five types of heroes, a hero on the spot, a hero to others near and far, a survivor hero, a hero within and a hero for all time. My mom is a hero within because she has to deal with me. For example sometimes I don't listen to her when she has told me to do something seven times and she still doesn't get mad.
