My name is Sarah Estes. The name of the Hero that I chose is Sam Estes. He is a loving grandpa and a great person. The reason that I chose him as my hero is because he is a pastor, chaplain, and a substitute.
He has also helped a lot of people come to Jesus. (...He who wins souls is wise. Proverbs 11:30). Sam loves kids. He is really good at making people and kids laugh. When I was little he taught me a song called, "The Little Red Caboose." It has been my favorite ever since. When he is singing with kids he always makes a funny voice.
Sam lives in Reedly, California. It is sunny and hot in the summer. In the spring it is rainy, cloudy, and cold. In autumn it is really cold and sometimes it rains. It is also cold, cloudy, foggy, and it rarely snows.
Sam Estes was born in Exeter, California. He grew up in Visalia, California. Sam was the first born child out of five kids. But his mother's heart had stopped just a little while after he was born. When his mother was dead she heard Jesus talking to her and he said that it was not her time to die and that she had to stay and take care of her newborn son. In a few moments her heart started up again. When Sam was twelve years old he worked at a dairy to help bring money to his family. Another story is when he was sixteen years old his father died. He was driving in a work truck and the axle broke off the back of the truck and it started to roll down the hill and his father fell out the window (because they did not have seat belts back then) and the truck rolled over him. One time when he was 56 years old some teenagers were hanging out somewhere and then there was gun fire and one of the teenage boys was killed. Sam Estes got up at two in the morning to go help the father of the murdered boy.
So now you see why Sam Estes is my hero. He has always been an important person to me since the day I was born. He always brings a smile to my face when I am not feeling that great. Now that is why I chose Sam Estes as my hero. He has always been my HERO and always will be.
