" Life would be tragic if it weren''t funny" - Stephen Hawking
Many people think of heroes as strong, saved millions of lives, or stopped the villains of the city. How about education or living almost 50 years after his death date
from a horrifying disease and helps the world with his science skills! Well that is exactly like our hero Stephen Hawking. Stephen was supposed to die at a young age of 25 from A.L.S (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) but he is celebrating his 75th birthday in 2015 A.K.A still alive!

Stephen Hawking doing a math problem when young. |
Stephen was born in Oxford, England on 1942. He went to St. Albans an all girl school but, he wasn't the only boy at the school. In school he got the best grades by not STUDYING!!! His parents (Frank and Isobel) always made sure to challenge him even if it was something he learned 4 yrs in the future. Stephen was the only and oldest out of four kids to want to learn. Mary was his sister and she was born on (1943) was 2nd, Phillipa (1947) was 3rd, and Edward was adopted in 1957. (2 boys and 2 girls) Stephen grew up in Highgate, London. When Stephen was around eight they moved 20 miles northeast of London in to St. Albans. He ended up going back to Oxford for college at University of Oxford (1959-1962) then transferred to Cambridge University for cosmology (1962-1966) 7 years total.

This is a black hole. (I got this on www.penny4nasa.com ()) |
You may be wandering why in the world this guy as a hero well he discovered life mysteries in outer space as the following.... Big Bang Theory and Black Holes! And I'm not done WITH A.L.S! That's almost like running a marathon with a broken foot. Do you no anyone with a death defying disease that had this interesting life? But did you know Stephen also, had a zero G ride in space! He mostly enjoyed being out of his wheelchair for 30-35 minutes. Did you also know that Stephen wrote/was in 24 books and 5 movies/TV shows/series's total that more movies than some actors! Do you think Einstein has a better IQ than British scientist Stephen Hawking No! They both have a IQ of 160 the best scores we would find in a long time but people use modern technology to pass the test because it is a online test so the computer will never see you take out a phone and ask google a question.

This is the hardest math problem.. |
You may be thinking if this science geek so smart but has A.L.S does he have a job? Well... yes but not anymore because he is retired but he helped NASA on Black Holes and Big Bang Theory with his great cosmology skills that got him through college by a landslide. But his actual job(s) is an Astrophysicist, Cosmologist, Screenwriter, Science Writer, Author, Theoretical Physicist, Mathematician, and Actor. That's a lot of jobs to do in your adult lifetime, especially for a person with A.L.S and who can't lift up a 20 dollar bill to pay for his dinner. Some super smart people without A.L.S have less jobs than that!
