Steve Irwin

Steve Irwin was born 2/22/1962 in Essendon, Victoria, Australia. His dad, Bob Irwin, and his Mom, Lyn Irwin, owned the Beerwah Reptile Park. Steve Irwin married Terri Irwin in 1992. They had two children, Bindi Irwin in 1998 and Robert Irwin in 2003. He changed the the name of Beerwah Reptile Park to Australia Zoo in 1992.

Steve Irwin died doing what he loved, getting close to nature. On September 4, 2006 he was killed by a sting ray in Batt Reef, Queensland. Steve Irwin was dedicated to educating people about animals such as crocs and Tasmanian Devils. He also created the Crocodile Hunter, documenting his many adventures in Australia Zoo and around the world.
