Sina Kelley

by Abbey from Franklin

There are many great teachers that I have had in the past. Some of those teachers are ones I could connect with, and some I just liked the way they taught. Many of those teachers were not the kind that were very strict, but they were the ones that encouraged me to do my very best. I have always had a wonderful gift of connecting with other teachers, and starting a conversation with them. Like my mom says I'm her "school baby" and she is right because I grew up in a school environment and it gave me the opportunity to connect and know many types of personalities. Teachers have always been my hero because of their kind deeds and many fine qualities. My hero is a teacher who has really inspired me in being who I am and also taught me many strategies in English. This was important to me because I have struggled a lifetime in language mechanics. She has also taught me to have confidence in myself by listening to how I feel and what is going on in my life. It has been three years since I had her and she continues to have a daily impact on my life. The person who I treasure had a strong influence in my middle school years and that person is my seventh grade English teacher, Mrs. Sina Kelley.

There are many reasons of why she has had a great impact on my life. First, she proved to be a wonderful teacher during my middle school years. I learned many things from her in English class. We spent a majority of the year on writing portfolio pieces. She was always very patient and understanding when I did not understand the concepts I enjoyed the many activities and funny sayings that helped me remember such as writing compound sentences and using the term FANBOYS. i was clueless in making good sentences until I had Mrs. Kelley. She helped me to understand the importance of doing my very best and to continue trying even when things are difficult.

Another reason she has impacted my life is because she helped me to bring out my strengths. She truly inspired me daily to do the best and reach my full potential.
