Vampires, werewolves, and aliens...these mythical creatures are brought to life by the talented Stephenie Meyer. She brings make belief so close to reality that it almost it feel like maybe the cute boy at school is really a vampire. Or maybe that friendly boy you've been friends with for years is really a lovable werewolf there to protect you. Stephenie Meyer brings such a sense of brilliance to her work that it's almost heart warming.

I never thought I would find myself reading her books constantly, never putting them down. The words, the setting and the plots she uses are so intriguing and different. She keeps you on the edge of your seat, as you are anxious to see what happens next. At times, she finds ways to relate situations to something in your life that it makes you cry or laugh. That's what really got me to love her work, the way she relates the story to my life.

Graduating with a bachelor's degree in English from Brigham Young University, Stephenie was already on the road to writing. She has been married for about ten years and has three young boys. Most of her inspiration and help to publish her books range from her dreams to talking with her older sister Emily. Even though she went through many rejection letters that weren't quite so nice, Stephenie still had hope that her little story would hopefully be published. Well of course we all know what happened.

Stephenie Meyer takes her main character, Bella, and puts her in this unrealistic, fantasy world that's right outside her door. She gives this girl, someone who feels like she doesn't fit in anywhere, a feeling like she does finally belong in a world where no human should belong. I like how Stephenie created the Twilight series because she gave me a story I could get lost in and even relate to. Even though I don't move to a new state, meet a vampire boy and fall in love with him, I can still relate to what she writes about.

With great writing comes great criticism, so did Stephenie's writing. Though with criticism we grow and learn so we can do better next time. Stephenie grew from the good and bad criticism, sometimes laughing it off instead of getting upset. My hero Stephenie Meyer isn't just some ordinary fiction writer, to me at least. Stephenie brings realism to her work allowing her readers relate to her writing and ideas. For this reason I chose writer Stephenie Meyers as my hero.
