Stephenie Meyer was born on December 24, 1973. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona; she is married and has three children. Stephenie has written the Twilight Saga (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn) and the Host. Stephenie was inspired to write Twilight after having a dream about a beautiful boy and an average girl in a meadow. She also uses music to help inspire her.

Stephenie Meyer is my hero because she is a great writer. Stephenie can write great books in a short amount of time. Stephenie wrote Twilight with three children under the age of five. With all the things going on in her life she managed to finish it in only three months. Publisher Weekly says that Twilight is the best book of the year.

The Host

Meyer is my hero because she was brave enough to completely change the concept of vampires which has been around so long. Vampires were nocturnal, coffin sleeping, step in the sun and burn, kill with a stake, evil, blood suckers. Stephenie made them never sleeping, glittering in the sun, super strong, super fast vampires.

Meyer's books are so well loved and read that movies are being produced about them. Twilight, the movie, came out on November 21st and more are to be expected.

The Twilight Saga

Her books are totally addicting, once you start reading them you won't want to put it down. Even after you are finished the book you may pick it right back up and start re-reading, because they are that good.
