Seto's closeness with children make him very recognizable as a friend and educator of children. But not many people know that this person who got the Outstanding Young Person of the World 1987 passed through his difficult life as a hotel worker and a stone mason, M. Seto Mulyadi (many people call him "Kak Seto") at first wanted to be doctor. A human being of much determination, Seto has dedicated his life for children's progress.

Seto was born in Central Java August 28, 1951, has a twin brother, Dr. Kresna Mulyadi, and one brother who was an ABRI soldier. His father died in 1966. He was a director of Company of Plantation of State in Klaten. After that time, Seto lived at his aunt's house in Surabaya with his brother.

Seto went to Jakarta searching for work, because his family economics needed his contribution. Seto went to school while working. In Jakarta he tried to apply for jobs but was not accepted. He was disappointed. But Seto remained to try and try.

His failure in Faculty of Medicines make him enter the Psychology Faculty in Universitas Indonesia. Along the run of time, he got a job to caring for cheerful multiple events of play groups in TVRI with Henry Purwonegoro. In 1983, Seto get the trust from Mrs. Tien Soeharto to become chief execution of development of children's place in TMII and that was a success. In 1987 Seto was married with Devina and their ages are 20 years apart, but always harmony. And Seto had 4 children that are Eka Putri Duta Sari, Bimo Dwi Putra Utama, Shelomita Kartika Putri Maharani and Nindya Putri Catur Permatasari.

The situation of his economic progress was very good and then he found Mutiara Indonesia Play Group and Form Nakula-Sadewa Instituation. For his service, he was awarded by many tokens of appreciation. He expects to improve the progress of the children of Indonesia and get requirements for the continuing of progress of growth of children. And he teaches us to try and try, and try again and where there's a will there's a way. He dedicated his life because it matters not how long we live, but how we live. In our lives we must help anybody and protect the children because the children are our hope.
