Sidney Crosby is my hero because is one of the best players in the NHL and he will never give up on his dreams.

Sidney Crosby was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, on August 17, 1987. Crosby got his education when he attended Shattuak-Saint Mary's Board School in Minnesota. His family members are: Troy Crosby, his father, who was drafted by the Montreal Canadians; his mom and his sister Taylor Crosby. An interesting fact about Crosby is that he started skating at the age of 3 and at the age of 14 he got 18 points in 5 games.

The person who influenced Sidney Crosby is Steve Yzerman, a fellow Canadian who played for the Detroit Red Wings.  He says his other influence is his Dad.  He was drafted by the Montreal Canadiens and more.

One of Crosby's obstacles is concussions.  A concussion is when you get hit in the head and you can't play sports and sometimes it can last for a lifetime.  Another obstacle is injuries, such as a broken bone.  Also Crosby has to deal with trades.

Crosby's achievements and awards are:  The Art Ross trophy, first overall pick, Lester B Pearson award, Lou Marsh trophy ,the rocket Richard trophy, the Stanley Cup and many more.

An example of Crosby's heroics is that he got a medal in the Olympics by scoring the winning goal for Canada in the finals.

I consider Sidney Crosby a hero because he is a hockey legand.  Crosby displays respect, determination and he shows courage.  He shows respect by not being a dirty player. He shows determination by never giving up and courage by blocking a shot.

My hero influences me by being a heroic hockey player and by being one of the best players of all time.

These are some of the reasons that Sidney Crosby is my hero.
