Sebastion was one of the best high school basketball players. He enjoyed the help of both his brothers and the support of his family, coaches and friends. Everyone knew he was special but they didn't know how special he really was. After his high school years his hard work paid off. Let me tell you a little about how he got to where he is now.
Sebastian started his high school career at Abraham Lincoln High in Brooklyn N.Y. As a freshman he was a bright student who showed hard work. He was always determined to do well in whatever he did, by making good grades and staying out of trouble and he was always practicing basketball to be the best. When basketball season came around he started varsity as a freshman. By the end of the season he averaged 17 points 7 assists as lincoln went 23-5. In his sophomore year he averaged 27 points 6 assists 4 steals, leading Lincoln to a 26-4 mark and a fourth place finish in the PSLA.
Things really started changing during his junior year as different colleges and the NBA started looking at him. When he found that out he became even more determind and people started depending on him, like his coaches, his team players and his family, so he worked harder. That year he lead his team to a class A championship with a record of 31-4. He was named First Team All-State and All-City averaging 28.7 points and 8.6 assists. His senior year he was the finalist for the 2004 Naismith Award. He averaged 33.2 points, 9.2 assists and 3.7 rebounds, leading Lincoln to a 26-6 record. He scored 25 points in the PSAL Championship Game against Cardozo, as Lincoln won its third consecutive PSAL crown. He was named PSAL Player of the Year. He scored 30 points, including the game-winning three-pointer against Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy.
After his seinor year he thought about going to college or going straight to the 2004 NBA draft. With all that on his shoulders he still had one more game to play so he focused on that game and everyone was depending on him to score a lot of points but he decided he wanted to be a role player instead of a star and somehow he still managed to shine with 2 points and 11 assists and they won. Then it finally happened. The big day of the 2004 draft was finally here and he was drafted #13 out of high school.
