Shaun White snowboarding (http://www.shaunwhite.com) |
Most people put a lot of thought into what a hero is, but I think a hero is someone strong, cool, generous, intelligent, inspiring, and brave. Shaun White has all of those traits. That's why I chose to write about this amazing snowboarder.
Shaun White was born in San Diego in 1986. Before he was a year old he had two major heart surgeries. Despite the surgeries, Shaun was still very brave and was excelling at soccer, surfing, and snowboarding. Shaun White was very smart and had the intelligence to become a great snowboarder and skateboarder. Obviously, his occupation is snowboarding and skateboarding. He also has a clothing line for kids.
Shaun is a brave person. He puts his life at risk just to go on a halfpipe and try to win a gold medal or whatever. I mean seriously you could get killed or injured doing that. It takes lots of skill and practice. Shaun is very inspiring to others and is very fun to watch. He is generous because he makes donations to charities like the Make a Wish Foundation or the Tony Hawk Foundation. Shaun attended a college called the California State University of San Marcos.
Shaun is cool because his tricks are awesome and hard to do. He has created two fun video games. The games are fun because when you play it the game makes you feel like you are actually snowboarding. Shaun is also cool because he had a halfpipe built for him so he could practice and develop new tricks. He debuted a new trick at the X Games and the Winter Olympics called the Double McTwist 1260.
Shaun White is a hero. Whenever I go snowboarding I think about Shaun White and how good at snowboarding he is. It makes me want to try and do better. I play his video games a lot and they are fun and exciting. Shaun took gold in the 2010 Olympics with the score of 48/50. It was an amazing score. He has bypassed everyone's expectations and has walked off with his head held high. Expect him to do well in the next Winter Olympics.
