My definition of a hero is someone that you look up to. Another definition of a hero is a role model who sets good examples for others. Being a hero has big responsibilities. Someone who is a role model has to watch what they do and be a positive person so that someone can follow in their footsteps.

One person who I think is a good role model to me and many others is Serena Williams. She is a wonderful person as well as tennis player. she started playing tennis at the age of four. However, Serena and Venus Williams became famous African American tennis players in the late 1990's. Serena had become famous for her powerful game and her flashy outfits. While growing up, Serena had faced some racial problems and some competition.

Although she had been through some rough times, she still kept her head up high and became who she is today and this is one of the reasons why I choose Serena Williams is a role model.
