Sandra is a great mom, teacher, and all around person. She always finds time to help anyone who needs it. She is a funny and intelligent woman. She is also a good life coach and will always be there for everyone. She lives in Fort Morgan, Colorado, but she was born in Waterloo, Iowa. I consider her a hero because she has made a difference in many people, mainly kids.

The reason I want to be just like my mom Sandra is that she is a good role model for me. At first my mom couldn’t read and was not able to read until she was in 3rd grade. Because she couldn’t read, her teacher called her stupid. My mom Sandra stated, “That is one of the reasons I am a teacher today. I don’t want any other child to feel the way I felt when my teacher called me stupid.”

My mom has been there for me my whole life and has made a big impact on me, both in sports and in my life. The way she has made an impact on me in sports is: She has been a varsity volleyball coach for 20 years, and she got offered to play volleyball and basketball in college. Unfortunately when she started playing she decided that two sports in college was too much so she decided to give up basketball. She says, “My basketball coach was really mad. He said he was mad because I was a good player.” My mom is also a sports inspiration because she helps me to strive to become a better player. She says “Hard work pays off, not just in sports but in your whole life.”

She inspires me in life by teaching me that god will take care of me and to “Keep your head held high.” The qualities that make her my hero are that she is funny, intelligent, she is nice to everyone, she helps everyone who needs it, and is always there for me in every way possible.

As I said my mom is my hero because of all of the reasons I just listed, but mainly it is because she is such a big inspiration to my life.
