Shaya

by Brynn from Great Falls Middle School

A hero isn't always a popular person, but they can make a difference in a person's life. They can be brave and strong and that's why my hero is my dog, Shaya. My dog is brave. She is smart. She is also very loyal. That's how my dog makes in difference in my life.

My dog is also brave. She protects my family. She barks if someone is in my driveway even if it is a person turning their car around or the mailman. She is warning us and that is her own way of protecting us. It is also her own way of being brave.

My dog, Shaya, is very smart. She is smart because when we were taking a walk down my road, I let her lead the way to see if she knew the way back home, and she did! I did the same thing when we were in the woods and she led the way back again! Also she hates bread! If you give her a sandwich she will take the bread off with her mouth and eat the inside of the sandwich. That is why i think my dog is smart.

Shaya, my dog, is also very loyal. The definition of loyalty is giving or showing firm and constant support or allegiance to a person or institution. And that is exactly what she does. She never leaves my side, she is always there when I need her. That is why my dog is loyal.

As you can see, my dog, Shaya, is my hero. She is smart when she leads me home. She is brave when she is protecting my family. And lastly she is loyal because she is always there when I need her. That is why my dog, Shaya, is my hero.
