My mom.

"Always look at your cup half full, not half empty." This is a popular quote I have heard many times while growing up in my household. This quote means to look at the positive side of things and situations, rather than the negative. There are many blessings in life; some are right in front of you and some you don't even see. Although I have many heroes in my life, there is one special person that I call my ultimate hero. This special person's cup is not only half full, but overflowing with excitement. She helps us to see the positive side of all situations, no matter how bad they seem. This special hero happens to be Michelle, my mom.

My mom works two days a week at a dentist office, yet she always makes sure she spends time with me and my brother, which I think is great. We even share some of the same interests like Alabama Crimson Tide Football, Gulf Shores, and toy poodles. When it comes to the Crimson Tide, we always watch the game as a family and cheer for the Tide. My mom is also a lover of the beach, so every year we try to go to Gulf Shores. This is a really great time to relax and for me to spend quality time with my mom. Like the beach, my mom also loves toy poodles. She has always been a dog lover, but her favorite type of dog would have to be the toy poodle. Ever since we got Liddy, our black toy poodle, she has been in love with it, just like the rest of the family.

Even though we share the same interests, we always have our ups and downs. But I always know that she will be there for me through all my obstacles. She has taught me so many things about life, school, and even friends. But to be my hero, she doesn’t have to be a superhero with super powers. She is my hero because she sets a good example for me, teaches me right from wrong, and just because she loves me.

My mom inspires me everyday. She will never stop being my ultimate hero.
