Slash was born as Saul Hudson in England, more accurately in Hampstead, London on July 23th 1965. He was born to mother named Ola J. Hudson and father Anthony Hudson. Both of his parents were working in showbiz, his father was a creator of album covers and his mother was a costume designer. He also has a brother named Albion.

At five years old he moved from England to Los Angeles. After his parents got divorced, he decided to live with his mother and he was often sent to live with his grandmother. Slash said that his passion for music started when he was 14. He listened to album Rocks by band called Aerosmith. He instantly identified himself with this music and started playing guitar. In 1985 Slash joined  band called Guns N' Roses as a lead guitarist, when he was asked to complete the line up that consisted of Axl Rose (vocals), Duff McKagan (bass), Izzy Stradlin (rhythm guitar) and Steven Adler (drums).

At first Guns n' Roses mostly performed in nightclubs. In 1987 they released first album called Appetite for Destruction which became a huge success and made them famous. Slash was part of the band until 1996. He later played in other bands such as Slash's Snakepit, Velvet Revolver and was also collaborating with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators. In the beginning of 2016 he got back together with Guns N' Roses and he is currently playing on a Not in this lifetime reunion tour.

All original members of the band are my heroes because I like how they made their way to the top by doing what they love. Guns N' Roses are actually the reason why I started listening to rock, they are my favourite band, I simply love their music and without Slash's guitar riffs and solos it just wouldn't be the same. This music is one of the reasons why I started playing the guitar and Slash is one of my biggest inspirations. I like how fame never really changed him and he is always very relaxed and calm no matter what.

I really hope that one day I will be able to hear him and the band live.
