A hero is someone who changes your life and personality. So this person who I chose for my hero project is Alfonso Soriano. He is dependable, comical and a team player. He had accomplished a lot of goals to get to where he is now. One of the things he accomplished was to learn how to play baseball. Last was to become a professional baseball player. This is my hero for the goals he accomplished.
Alfonso Soriano was born on January 7 1976. He was born in the town of San Pedro Macoris, Dominican Republic. On That same day he was mentioned on TV with Pedro Guerrero, Tony Fernandez and Sammy Sosa. When he was six years old he began playing baseball. Then when he was sixteen years old he tried to sign up for a little league team. The only team that needed a player was Hiroshima Toyo Carp from Japan. After, he got promoted in 1997.
Next he was playing for a farm team and earning 180,000 dollars a year. Then the Cleveland Indians liked the way Alfonso Soriano was playing. After knowing that the Cleveland Indians liked the way he played he signed with the team and earned 1.5 million dollars. At the end of his career with Cleveland he signed with the New York Yankees. Then just for playing for the Yankees he earned 3.1 million dollars. Then he made a club called the 40-40 club. To enter, you have to have 40 assists and 40 steals. Last he started his own club naming it the 40-40-40 club. To enter you will have to have 40 homeruns, 40 assists and 40 steals.
I chose this person because he inspired me to believe I could do anything I put my mind to. He also taught me several ways I could enter and become a baseball player. Another thing was if you want to do something, go for it. Next I learned that you don’t have to be rich or famous to become a baseball player. Last, I would recommend to anyone to learn about this person.
A hero is a person who changed my life and he could certainly change yours. Alfonso Soriano had made many records and joined clubs. He was famous since he was little. Then he earned money just for the sport he loved to play. This is why I chose him for my hero, because he inspires me every day.
