Steven Spielberg

Steven Spielberg once said, “I dream for a living.” Steven Spielberg is one of the most famous filmmakers of all time. This showed his special quality of the trait determination. Steven Spielberg was a hero because he shared his talents of filmmaking to bring us a new vision of life by watching his movies.

Steven Spielberg was born on December 18, 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Steven was the oldest of three female siblings. Throughout his childhood his family moved frequently. His parents argued continuously, causing a divorce. In school, classmates made fun of him. His family wasn’t very rich or very poor. Later on he attended the Theater Arts program. He only completed three years of college because he was given the opportunity to be a director. Steven enjoyed filmmaking, and movies inspired him. As you can see, Steven Spielberg's early childhood was semi-unhappy.

Later in Steven Spielberg’s film-producing career, did he start receiving rewards. The first award he received was in 1986. It was called the Irving Thalberg Memorial Award which was given by the Motion Picture Arts and Science. The Irving Thalberg Memorial Awards trophy color was golden copper and was shaped like a head. Spielberg was recognized when he made the film Jaws in 1975. The movie was mostly directed in Massachusetts. It was produced to show that nature is unpredictable everyday. The film Jaws took in more than one hundred million dollars, which broke a record in 1994. Steven Spielberg later won an Academy Award for best film of the year, which was Schindler’s List. The movie, which had began filming in 1983 was about Jews in concentration camps. Throughout his career, he should have been recognized for many more films, but others seem to be jealous of him.

Spielberg doesn’t have many traits. One of the traits he did have was determination. An example was when he made the film Jaws. The film crew was plagued by problems, which created extended filmmaking. Spielberg refused to scrap the film and stayed longer to finish it. Spielberg also had the trait of being courageous. Throughout his childhood he had many fears. To overcome these fears he made movies that related to his fears. Finally, the last trait he had was being a perfectionist. He expected top quality work from his employees. Those that did not perform were let go quickly. As a conclusion, Spielberg had some good traits which lead to his successful film making.

Some accomplishments that Spielberg had done made him rich and famous. In 1975, Steven Spielberg produced the film Jaws, which was the biggest money maker of all time. This particular movie changed the way filmmaking was done. Future films were more costly and extensive, hoping to produce a bigger profit. Also another movie which was “E.T” turned out to be the be the best loved movie of all time. This movie was released in 1982. It was based on a story about a boy who finds a creature from outer space. This movie had more of a caring and happy ending, which was different from his from his other movies he had produced.

Because he became wealthy, he was able to have his own studio built. Some of the things in the studio include a gymnasium, fishpond, game room, and film making complex. To conclude, Spielberg had many accomplishments, but didn’t get rewarded for most of them.

As you can see, Steven Spielberg produced many movies during his life. Doing that made him wealthy. A lesson you might learn from him is that there may be tough times throughout your life, but if you try hard enough you will probably succeed at what you were doing.
