St. Albert the Great is a Doctor and Patron of Science and Philosophers. He is also the patron saint of students of natural science. His feast day is November 15. Albert is often associated with St. Thomas Aquinas. Albert was St. Thomas' mentor and the Bishop of Regensburg. St. Albert was born in 1206. He was born in Swabian, to the family of Bollstädt at Lauigen castle in Danube. He is the oldest son of a powerful and wealthy German lord of military rank. He was educated in liberal arts and studied law. He entered the German Dominican novitiate against his family's will. He published books about natural science, logic, rhetoric, math, astronomy, ethics, economy, politics, and metaphysics. He investigated causes that are at work in nature and rewrote the Philosopher's work to fit Christian critics. His goal was to allow science and religion to coexist peacefully.

St. Albert the Great was motivated by his own want to know. He wanted people to accept philosophy and science together with nature. He thought that science and religion should be used together to solve the questions brought before us. He was faithful and was the only member of his family to enter a religious calling. He was motivated by his faith and the new development of Aristotelian philosophy.

St. Albert the Great changed the world because he showed that science and religion can coexist without any major feuds. He rewrote philosophy to fit Christian critics. This allowed other ideas and thoughts to be used with religion. He changed the world in a positive way. With his help, we are able to see as modern day people how we should use science and religion to make our lives better.

Prayer to St. Albert the Great:
"God, You made St. Albert great y enabling him to combine human wisdom and Divine Faith. Help us to adhere to his teaching that we may progress in the sciences and at the same time come to a deeper understanding and love of You.
Amen."

St. Albert the Great was a major influence in the Christian community. He made a significant difference in our view of religion and science. St. Albert is a key character that we can look to today to see how to work with both religious and scientific values and morals. St. Albert was a great saint. He is also my patron saint.
