Ryan Stiles

by Ruben from Woodland Hills

Ryan Stiles, besides being one of the funniest people alive, is a true hero. You might know Ryan from various T.V shows like "Whose Line Is It Anyway" or "The Drew Carey Show,"or maybe from one of his hilarious movies like "Hot Shots" or "Hot Shots Part Deux." What you might not know is that he is also known for giving money to various foundations and that is what makes him a hero.

Ryan inspires kids to stay in school. He has appeared in various public service announcements telling kids how important it is to stay in school and how it will positively affect their future lives and best of all their salary. Ryan, on the other hand, was a high school drop out, so he can't use himself as an example.

By donating money to various foundations, Ryan has also changed and helped a lot of people's lives. He has been known to donate money to the T.J. Martell Foundation, which is a cancer research program. That is only one of the many charities he has contributed to. This, in my point of view, is a very heroic act.

Ryan Stiles dropped out of high school to pursue his life long dream to be a stand up comedian. He says that he got lucky and people who want to end up on T.V should not do the same. When performing at stand up comedy clubs, Ryan met Pat McDonald, a waitress, and fell in love. Ryan has a wife Pat,and they are now going to start their own charity to help women with breast cancer.

Ryan Stiles is my hero not only because he is a very funny but also because he does something to help the community. He has helped charities by donating money, he has appeared in service announcements that tell kids to stay in school, and now he is starting his own charity to help women with cancer. What more can you ask for from one person? That is why I picked Ryan Stiles as my hero.
