Some people say a hero is someone who has done something really great and changed the lives of many others or some people say that a hero is someone with super powers like Superman or Batman. I think a hero can be someone who just changed one person's life. It can be someone like a mom, a dad, a teacher or a crossing guard who helps you everyday with the little things that you take for granted.

My heroes are my grandmother and grandfather, Norah and Julio. They live in Cote Saint Luc in an apartment which I know I am always welcome in. They are in their 70s and are loving and caring. My grandmother is the best cook I know. Whenever I go over I always go swimming with my grandfather. The reason why my grandparents are my heroes is because they left their home in Argentina where they had lives and jobs to come to Canada. They came to Canada because they thought that their daughters, one of them being my mom, and they would have better lives. If they hadn’t moved I probably wouldn’t live in Canada. In fact I wouldn’t be here today because if they hadn’t moved to Canada my mom wouldn’t have met my dad.

They are also my heroes for smaller reasons. I’m always welcome into their home. Sometimes during lunch hour my grandfather picks me up from school to drive me to their apartment building to eat lunch. My grandmother cooks some of my favorite meals. And last but most important, I know that no matter what, no matter how big of a mistake I make, no matter how badly I get defeated they will always love me.
