Tracie Simpson

by Kayla from North Carolina

The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called "truth."

My hero is a great woman that is strong and wise and knows how to speak her mind. She is someone I look up to and go to when I need help. She is an inspiration to everyone around her. She is a great mother, teacher, and role model. She is one of my mom’s best friends too. My hero is Mrs. Tracie Simpson. My hero has molded my life into the way it is now. She taught me in the fourth grade and is still teaching me today in dance. My hero is raising her two children and is about to have her third. She is a wonderful mother to her little boy and girl and is going to make a great mother to her third child. She is an awesome wife to her husband and an even better teacher. Mrs. Tracie taught me when I was in the fourth grade and started teaching me when I was even younger at dance. She teaches me twice a week in dance and I plan she will teach me until I graduate. She has put up with me ever since I can remember.

Mrs. Tracie only lives a few minutes away from my house so I get to talk to her when ever I need. My hero is very important to me. I baby sit her children and try to help when ever I can. She is a great person to be around and I love to be around her when she speaks her mind. One of Mrs. Tracie’s many traits is speaking her mind. She is a great person to learn from. She has taught me all the knowledge in and out of the books. She is still teaching me new things today. When I am around her I learn things I never thought of learning before. Mrs. Tracie made the person I am today. She may not know how much she has taught me or how much she means to me but she will always have a place in my heart. She will always be remembered in my heart and will never be forgotten.
