He guided the Dallas Cowboys to three Super Bowls, was named MVP in two of them. He is now a NFL broadcaster and owner of the Troy AIkman Foundation. His name is Troy Aikman, inspiring many people on and off the field. He was cut by the Cowboys mainly to avoid having to pay a 7 million dollar roster bonus. Troy continued to inspire people by his foundation the Troy Aikman foundation it help inspire kids in medical centers.
He built the first center was opened in Dallas with a $250,000 grant from his foundation. In the playroom there is an eight foot sculpture of his helmet and a movie theater with a seven foot by five foot screen, a laser disk screen, and 1,200 fiber optic stars on the ceiling. They opened one more in Texas then one in Oklahoma. They also opened a fourth center at UCLA Children Center. The Troy Aikman Foundation is paired up with the Starbright Foundation, which is chaired by Steven Spielberg.
They also created a online computer network that links all of the computers from the centers together. It also allows the kids to play with each other that are critically ill. They can even see each other by video communication. Troy sometimes gets on with his home computer and talks to the children also.
Not only does he do things with the medical centers. He also co-chaired the Beyond the Rainbow Luncheon which helps raise money for Children's Cancer. In 1997 he held a race in Fort Worth, Texas, that helped his charity, and the Speedway Children's Charity. He also helps raise money for disaster relief for the Red Cross.
Troy Aikman has been inspiring to many people, he has inspired people on and off the football field in many ways. He inspires many children with his Troy Aikman Foundation by providing equipment and technology to help them and to make their stay more fun and enjoyable. As if his Medical Centers he built aren't enough he also helps with other charity organizations. Troy has won three Super Bowls has been the MVP in two of them and is in the NFL Hall of Fame and he still finds other ways to inspires people with Medical Center and charities.
