Terri Allen

A hero to me is someone who makes positive decisions and helps you or encourages you to make positive decisions. A hero also sets a positive example and motivates you. When I thought about a hero my mother came to mind.

Mother, aunt, daughter, niece, best friend, grand daughter and so much more. Terri Allen, also known as "mom", is my hero. She has given up so many opportunities for me and my siblings and has been through so much to the point that I don't understand how she got to where she is today. When my mom was 18 she gave up a full ride scholarship to Morehouse just to raise me and my sister by herself, but that didn't stop her two years ago when she graduated from Columbus State with a registered nursing degree.  

   She has taught me so much. Like how to be independent, strong, responsible and respectful. Without her i don't know what i would do, where i would be and who i would have to push me forward to make better decisions and motivate me if  I didn't have my mom, and that's why she is my hero.
