A web about Terri Clark (I Made it in Inspiration) |
Terri Lynne Clark was born in Montreal, August 5th 1968, but she was raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Terri’s Grandparents have history with music so she basically had music mentors. Terri’s mom Linda belonged to the Canadian folk scene. She had only one sister. One of Terri’s favourite subjects in school was music which suits her very much. As a child Terri’s parents divorced and her mom remarried. Terri went to Nashville after finishing high school with a dream of making it in the Country music industry. She stayed in Nashville for a few years to work and then she landed a record contract with Mercury records. She can play quite a few instruments including the clarinet and drums. Terri wanted to be a musician when she grew up because her parents encouraged it. Her main dream was to become a famous music artist and she certainly achieved that goal with tons of support from her whole family.

Drawing of Terri Clark (I drew it) |
Terri Clark's life was remarkable, after many hit records and successful albums she went on to do so many more things. Terri even wrote her own book called 'Diary, Phrases and Stages' which was published in the US. She was nominated for 'Female Vocalist of the Year' for the Country Music awards. Terri admires her young fans so much she turned down an opportunity to be on the cover of a Playboy magazine. Terri is not just well known, she is much more than that. She followed in her family's footsteps and decided to pursue her dream and work in the music industry. Terri has a gift for music that thrills us all but fame can also bring challenges in life. She divorced her second husband of 10 years in 2007. Greg Kaczor was her tour manager and it was heartbreaking for them both. If I was Terri I'm not sure what I would do, I would probably just keep reminding myself that better things will eventually happen. She has taught younger kids like myself that life shouldn't hurt but sometimes it has to. Terri has also reminded us that fame isn't the greatest thing in life and that it should mean more than publicity and money. Some people say you can judge a person based on their enemies and after studying Terri's life I realized that she's well respected by her family and the music industry. Terri is a mentor just like her Grandparent's were for her. Terri's beliefs of working hard and pursuing her dreams have carried her through life despite the mistakes she has made.

Being a hero is a very special thing. A hero isn't someone who sits around watching TV all day, a hero is someone who gets up and tries to make a difference in the world. Terri Clark is one of those people because she had a dream and went after it when the odds of being successful are very slim. She doesn't use fame to only get publicity. She uses it to let all her fans know the differences people could make if they all pitched in. She has her very own grandparents and parents as musical heroes. Unfortunately on April 5, 2010 her mother passed away after a long battle with cancer. Terri lives in Nashville, Tennessee, it's the center of most country musicians. There's a difference between a hero and simply just being well known. I think she's a hero because she's kept her family in her heart through the roughest times of her life. I've learned that bad things happen to everyone, including people with a lot of fame. Hold on to your dreams no matter what problems face you, work hard and treat people well and you'll have a good life.
Terri spent ten years on a album called Life goes on about real people and real situations. She was the very first Canadian female to be in the Grand Ole Opry. Some of Terri's fans say she performs her best when live. Terri started as a song writer then she started playing bars and entering talent contests then she decided what her true dream was singing for a living. Terri has a connection with her music which is to look for the bottom line.
